THE REASON: This group was founded on the assumption that I’m not the only omnivore in the Metro Detroit area who wants to be a smart eater and enjoys shared food and good conversation. I’ve been a “better then average” eater most of my life, but it wasn’t until reading two great books by Michael Pollan, In Defense of Food and The Omnivore’s Dilemma, that I fully realized just how terrible the “American diet” is for us, the land, and for animals. Ever in the mood to dine out, but don't want to go by yourself? Then this group is for you. After all, what's better than good food and conversation? We will enjoy the many fine dining establishments in and around Royal Oak, including some of the cool places in Ferndale, Berkley and Clawson. The only requirement?
